Today and two days ago

Today is (ba-da-da-daaaa) the Comic Heads meeting on rediculously raunchy, scandalously sex-saturated, salaciously steamy, tenaciously titilating and tempting, and expertly extreme porn comics. Or rather, porn comics AND porn in comics, sexuality and sex issues within comics, distinguishing lines between unneccesary and mysogynistic versus tasteful and logical within a mature narrative. It's going to be fun.

I'm going to have to miss some of it though, having to leave at four to get to work on time.

Two days ago, instead of Senior Project, we had a portfolio review with representatives from various companies and businesses. Rows and rows of us eager design-department majors, hoping beyond hope that maybe, just maybe, one of these people with ties to work and employment opportunies, would stop; stop and look through our stuff, offer their two cents, and an exchange of business cards would hopefully result in the bonding of two creative energies.

I don't want to go on into how I felt the day went, but I do feel that I made some useful contacts!

Soon after leaving MCAD, Nikki and I went to The Wabasha Street Caves for the William Mitchell Spring Formal (read: lawyer prom). I hate parties like this one. I'm surrounded by many better dressed people I don't know who have been losing their inhibitions long before I could even begin to catch up. And on top of that, the DJ doesn't have any music other than club music, which seems to imply a lot of hip hop and rap. At the end of the night, one of Nikki's friends read the DJ the riot act for not having a slow song to sway to. The man literally had nothing but hip hop, and was playing nothing but hip hop in such a classy, 1930's speak-easy. Pitful.

But I went for Nikki, so I can't say I didn't entirely not enjoy myself.
