Another big update!

When last I touched base, I had Larry Gonick as my mentor (so far, so good). Now, I have Rick Geary as my mentor as well! This is fantastic, as I love and respect both men's work, and both are well known for their histories series (Gonick for Cartoon History of the Universe, Geary for Treasury of Victorian Murder. Both are terrific), which ties in terrifically with my project.

Last night I finally watched "Alien" full-thru. I had seen much of it, but not all of it. I knew what to expect, but I hadn't a clue how it got there. It's very unsettlingly sexual. Ash, played by Ian Holm, reminds me physically (and partially attitude-wise) to my boss.

I think I'm coming down with something. It doesn't hurt to breathe, but it feels better to breathe shallow rather than deep. I've also been coughing more. Soon after I'm done here, I'm popping a nyquil and going to bed. Wish me luck.
